There is no single design process. Every new project is an adventure and a challenge to be open to new possibilities. Our process embraces the development of an effective strategy that links client needs to the constraints and opportunities of the site.

At the core of any design process lies the ability to listen, to synthesize multiple inputs, and to develop a range of possible solutions from which the best choices may be made.

Building design works at the intersection of client aspiration, site and user requirements, and fiscal and civic constraints.

When all else has been said, design is about creating beautiful, functional, high performance structures that meet real needs in a responsible way.

Collaboration, curiosity, research and refinement are our watchwords.

The computer is now a ubiquitous part of the design process, but it does not supercede the power of thought, conversation, experimentation and research which drive the intellectual engine of design.
